djbt aka Bob Smith-Thomas has been mixing for over 40 years. I started when I was just 16 years old with 2 vinyl decks, only 1 had a pitch control and a Tandy mixer. 

I was taught the basic skills and tricks by dj Smash in the '80s who saw how much I loved mixing music but did not know the technical elements. 

I went on to dj in clubs and pubs around London through the late 80's and 90's with residency's at The Union Tavern in Camberwell as I had worked with Pat the landlord at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. Other places include the Market Tavern, The Royal Vauxhall tavern, Bangs and Sub Station South. 

I moved on to learn CD mixing in the late 90's and now use a digital set up but still have my trusted 1210's linked in! I can mix on all formats and have taught several others to mix who have gone on to be top djs, some of which moved into the European dj market!

Since moving to Bournemouth I have moved online,        releasing a monthly podcast mix "PDM" which has scored several worldwide number 1's. Then in 2024 having worked with Rich Deighton on Q Beat radio I decided to launch "djbt radio". I produce hours of new content every week with a highlighted schedule for the weekend which features new music. I still work with Rich on PrideVibes radio.
